Confessions of a Macedonian Bandit

"Confessions of a Macedonian Bandit" by Albert Sonnichsen is a memoir-style account of the author’s experiences in the early 20th-century Macedonian revolutionary movement. Sonnichsen, an American journalist and adventurer, joined the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (IMRO) and lived among Macedonian guerrilla fighters (called “chetas” or “komiti”) during the struggle against Ottoman rule.
