Macedonian Literature (from Misirkov to Racin) is a study dedicated to the development of modern Macedonian literature from the early twentieth century to the interwar period. The work traces the emergence of a new national literary consciousness and the role of writers and intellectuals who contributed to shaping the modern Macedonian literary tradition.
Particular attention is given to the work and significance of Krste Misirkov, one of the key thinkers in the process of articulating Macedonian cultural and linguistic identity. Alongside this, the book analyzes other authors who influenced the formation of national literary thought, including the poetry and social vision of Kočo Racin.
The book has a literary-historical character and aims to present the evolution of Macedonian literature as part of a broader cultural and national awakening. It serves as a structured overview of the ideas, styles, and literary movements that shaped the Macedonian literary tradition in the first half of the twentieth century.
