This 1814 religious work by Yoakim Karchovski addresses the Terrible Judgment and Second Coming of Christ, drawing from sacred writings and presenting them in plain "Bulgarian", in fact, the vernacular is what we today recognize as the Macedonian language , so that ordinary people could understand.
It contains two main sermons: one on the fearsome Day of Judgment and Christ’s return, and another based on the prophetic visions in the Book of Daniel. Karchovski contrasts the spiritually rich early Christian era with the morally degraded present, warning that those devoted only to earthly pleasures risk eternal loss unless they turn to faith and repentance.
