Story about the Terrible Judgment of God and the Second Coming of Christ (1864)

The 1864 book titled Story About the Terrible Judgment of God and the Second Coming of Christ (Слово заради страшен суд Божиј и второе пришествие Христово) is a faithful transcription of the 1814 work Story about the Terrible and Second Coming of Christ (Повест ради страшнаго и втораго пришествия Христова).

The original was authored by Yoakim Karchovski, but the 1864 copy’s author is unknown. Written in the plain vernacular of the time, which today is recognized as the Macedonian language, it vividly depicts the Day of Judgment, the Second Coming of Christ, and the eternal separation of the righteous from the wicked.

Its aim is to warn believers, inspire repentance, and encourage readiness for the Lord’s return, making deep spiritual truths accessible to the common people.
